The key to a well balanced wardrobe is having a collection of statement pieces in your closet. When I'm out shopping, I always want to make sure that the pieces I'm buying can be mixed and matched in multiple different ways. This not only helps me save space and money on my wardrobe, but also keeps me from having half of my clothes sitting in the back of my closet for months on end.
For today's post, I'm sharing how to style the beautiful, Hooded Fishermans Sweater. This sweater is so comfy, and a great length to wear with just about any outfit.
For the first outfit I styled the sweater with a thick scarf, tunic top, black leggings, booties, and a side braid. This outfit is all about comfort without forgoing style. I would wear this on a normal weekend day, whether running errands, coffee with friends, or a photo shoot with clients.
Mix and Match
The second way I've styled the sweater is by mixing and matching styles. I've paired together a knit skirt, floral crop top, black booties, statement necklace, and olive beanie. What I love about this look as it is a combination of simple pieces, but when all paired together it creates a fun, unique look that really reflects my personal style. While it can take some courage, it is so fun and refreshing to take pieces that you might be use to styling one way, and one way only, and pairing it with other pieces to create a whole new look! Next time you want a new outfit and feel the urge to go on a shopping spree, try mixing and matching pieces that you already have!
The third outfit is my favorite way to style the sweater. I paired it with a simple cotton dress, knee high socks and knee high boots. A simple date night for us might be dinner and a movie, or billiards and going to listen to jazz music. This outfit is so versatile and can be worn for just about any casual occasion while still feeling put together.
How would you style this sweater? What are your favorite statement pieces this season?
