.[/caption] The Science Gallery is a free public science centre at Trinity College, Dublin, popular for its unique and innovative interactive exhibits and events. Located at the rear of the college, the various exhibits are usually art and science related, and the public can be involved in sometimes off-the-wall experiments. Opened in 2008, the gallery is a science museum where, according to its proprietors, ideas meet and opinions collide. Visitors can contemplate the latest scientific issues, learn more about them and offer their opinions at talks, debates, and workshops offered in conjunction with the various exhibitions, which change on a regular basis. Popular with families who are into science, there are new events each week; the gallery has no permanent collection. Visitors would be wise to call ahead or check the Science Gallery website for current listings and details.
Opening Times and Fees
The opening hours for the exhibitions vary, as the individual exhibits change. Admission to Science Gallery exhibits is FREE
Cafe and Gift shop
The Science Gallery gift shop and café remain open during regular business hours, even when there are no exhibitions. The café is well regarded locally for its amicable atmosphere --- with a floor-to ceiling glass wall view onto the city --- and its good coffee. The gift shop sells books on the related exhibition topics.
