This Traditional Irish roll-neck sweater from Aran Sweaters Direct collection of Traditional Irish knitting is made from 100% Merino Wool. It adheres to all of the traditional Irish Cable stitching designs that have been handed down through the generations and which, in earlier times, portrayed tales of Irish families and daily life.
Aran stitch in the shape of a honeycomb runs along the body’s central panel, representing a hard-working bee or a fisherman. Rows of Irish cable stitches that resemble the fisherman’s ropes—the connection to life—are situated on either side of this central panels. This sweater uses knitting to tell an Irish tale.
